The Cisco Security Certification Pathway
How the three certifications connect and what each one unlocks in the Cisco career ladder.
From CCST to CCIE Security
CCST Cybersecurity is the entry point — no prerequisites, $125 exam fee, available in 7 languages, and valid permanently. It feeds directly into the Cisco CyberOps Associate track (200-201 CBROPS) for candidates pursuing the security operations path.
SCOR 350-701 is the professional-level core exam. Passing it earns the Cisco Certified Specialist - Security Core credential. Combining SCOR with one concentration exam earns the full CCNP Security certification. SCOR also serves as the qualifying (written) exam required before scheduling the CCIE Security lab.
CCIE Security Lab is the expert-level eight-hour hands-on exam. It is one of the most respected and difficult certifications in the global IT industry. Fewer than 10,000 active CCIE Security holders exist worldwide.
