ISC2 CSSLP Full-Length Practice Test
Each practice test runs 125 questions in 180 minutes, following the current eight-domain CSSLP outline. Every set uses the same 15 / 14 / 16 / 19 / 18 / 17 / 14 / 12 domain allocation, so score movement comes from you, not an easier paper.
- 125 questions / 180 min
- 8 CSSLP domains
- 13 Select TWO

Built around the current eight-domain outline
These practice tests use the current CSSLP domain structure and the taxonomy dated 15 September 2023. The question bank is fixed-form: every set carries 125 questions with the same domain allocation, difficulty matrix and topic coverage.
The live exam can include advanced item types. These practice tests do not imitate those formats. They use four-option single-answer questions and four-option Select TWO questions, which keeps the practice focused on lifecycle judgment, risk decisions and secure software reasoning.
ISC2 sets the passing grade at 700 out of 1000. The practice engine reports an estimated scaled score against that benchmark; it does not claim to reproduce ISC2's undisclosed scoring conversion.
Three hours changes how a question bank feels
A ten-question quiz can tell you that you forgot a term. A 125-question paper tells you whether you can keep choosing the best lifecycle action when several answers sound reasonable and the clock has been running for two hours.
01How it is built
- 125 questions in 180 minutes
- 112 single-answer and 13 Select TWO questions
- Exact domain allocation: 15 / 14 / 16 / 19 / 18 / 17 / 14 / 12
- 20 easy, 60 medium and 45 hard questions
- All 58 CSSLP taxonomy topics represented in each set
- Select TWO questions are scored all-or-nothing
02Under the clock
- Countdown with automatic submission at zero
- Flag questions and return to them
- Skip, revisit and change answers before submitting
- Final review screen before you commit
- Question order changes between attempts
- Progress is saved if you close the tab and return
03What comes back
- Estimated scaled practice score against the 700 benchmark
- Breakdown across all eight CSSLP domains
- Full review of your answer and the correct answer
- An explanation on every question
- Downloadable PDF report
- Result emailed to you and stored with past attempts
The distractor should fail for a specific reason
This question comes from the current CSSLP practice bank. The point is not remembering a phrase. You have to separate confidentiality controls from the integrity requirement in the scenario.
A treasury platform encrypts payment instructions in transit, but the security team is most concerned that an attacker could alter a beneficiary account without being detected. As the security architect for this financial platform, which action is BEST?
- AIncrease encryption key rotation frequency while leaving message integrity unchanged.
- BMask beneficiary account numbers in the user interface after the transfer is submitted.
- CReduce the retention period for completed transaction records.
- DAdd integrity verification over the transaction instructions and reject modified messages.
Why D is correct
The risk in the stem is undetected modification. Integrity verification addresses that directly by detecting a changed transaction and rejecting it before the altered instruction is trusted.
Why A is tempting, but wrong here
More frequent key rotation is a legitimate cryptographic control, but it does not add message-integrity protection. The data can still be altered if the system has no mechanism to detect the change. Options B and C address display privacy and retention, neither of which resolves the transaction-integrity requirement.
All eight domains, in the same allocation every time
CSSLP is broad enough that a random question bank can distort your result. These sets lock the distribution, so a stronger score on test 7 than test 2 is a useful comparison.
| Domain | Official weight | Questions per practice test |
|---|---|---|
| 1. Secure Software Concepts | 12% | 15 |
| 2. Secure Software Lifecycle Management | 11% | 14 |
| 3. Secure Software Requirements | 13% | 16 |
| 4. Secure Software Architecture and Design | 15% | 19 |
| 5. Secure Software Implementation | 14% | 18 |
| 6. Secure Software Testing | 14% | 17 |
| 7. Secure Software Deployment, Operations, Maintenance | 11% | 14 |
| 8. Secure Software Supply Chain | 10% | 12 |
The whole-question allocation is fixed at 15 / 14 / 16 / 19 / 18 / 17 / 14 / 12 so the 125-question practice paper stays close to ISC2's published percentages while using whole questions.
All 10 ISC2 CSSLP full-length practice tests
Every test is complete on its own. Each one uses 125 questions, the same 180-minute limit and the same eight-domain blueprint.
About CSSLP, and about these practice tests
The CSSLP exam
How many questions are on the current ISC2 CSSLP exam?
CSSLP has 125 items and a three-hour time limit. ISC2 lists multiple choice and advanced item types. The passing grade is 700 out of 1000 points.
Which CSSLP exam outline is current?
The current eight-domain outline became effective on 15 September 2023. Its weights are 12%, 11%, 13%, 15%, 14%, 14%, 11% and 10% across Domains 1 through 8.
How much does the CSSLP exam cost?
ISC2 currently lists standard CSSLP registration at US$599 in Asia Pacific, the Americas and other regions priced in US dollars. EMEA pricing is €575.04 and United Kingdom pricing is £485.19.
What experience do I need for CSSLP certification?
ISC2 requires four years of cumulative full-time experience in one or more current CSSLP domains. A bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, IT or a related field can satisfy up to one year. If you pass without the experience, you can become an Associate of ISC2 and have up to five years to earn the required experience.
If I fail CSSLP, when can I retake it?
After the first attempt, you can retest after 30 test-free days. After the second, the wait is 60 days from the most recent attempt. After the third and later attempts, it is 90 days. ISC2 allows up to four attempts within a 12-month period for each certification program.
How do I maintain the CSSLP certification?
CSSLP uses a three-year certification cycle. Members need 90 CPE credits across the cycle and pay the ISC2 member Annual Maintenance Fee of US$135 each year.
These practice tests
How many questions are in each full-length CSSLP practice test?
125 questions with a 180-minute limit. The complete ten-test pack contains 1,250 questions.
Are the practice tests aligned to the current CSSLP outline?
Yes. The question bank uses the current eight-domain CSSLP taxonomy dated 15 September 2023. Each set uses the same 15 / 14 / 16 / 19 / 18 / 17 / 14 / 12 domain allocation.
Do these practice tests reproduce ISC2 advanced item types?
No. The live CSSLP exam can include advanced item types. These practice tests use four-option single-answer questions and four-option Select TWO questions.
Do the tests include Select TWO questions?
Yes. Each 125-question set contains 13 Select TWO questions. They are scored all-or-nothing, so selecting only one of the two correct options does not earn credit for that question.
What do I get after submitting a practice test?
You get an estimated scaled practice score against the 700 benchmark, an eight-domain breakdown and a full question review showing your answer, the correct answer and the explanation. A PDF report can be downloaded and the result is also emailed to you.
What happens when the timer reaches zero?
The attempt submits automatically and scores what you have answered. Before then you can flag questions, revisit them and use the final review screen before submitting.
Can I buy one test instead of a pack?
Yes. One full-length test costs $2.99₹119£2.39€2.69. Five tests cost $6.49₹259£4.99€5.99, and all ten cost $10.99₹499£8.49€9.99.
Is this a subscription?
No. A test or pack is a one-time purchase with no recurring subscription.
Ten CSSLP practice tests. 1,250 questions.
$10.99₹499£8.49€9.99
Use one paper as a baseline, fix the domain that keeps costing you marks, then sit a fresh set under the same 180-minute clock.
