IAPP AIGP Practice Test
Free 20-question practice tests for the current Artificial Intelligence Governance Professional exam. Use the mixed sets to check coverage, then drill one of the four official domains. When you want the full pace, move to a 100-question test on a 165-minute clock.
Mixed Set — IAPP AIGP Practice Tests
Five short tests spread questions across the four AIGP domains. Each has 20 questions and about 33 minutes, keeping the same question-to-time ratio as the 100-question exam.
Domain Wise — IAPP AIGP Practice Tests
Use a domain test after a mixed set shows you where the gap is. The ranges below are the current IAPP blueprint ranges for BoK v2.1, effective 2 February 2026.
Twenty questions finds the gap.
One hundred tests your pace.
A short set is useful for diagnosis. The full-length practice tests are built for the other problem: staying accurate across 100 questions and 165 minutes while all four domains are in play.

How to use these tests
Use the short tests to find the weak area. Save the full-length sets for the point where pacing matters as much as recall.
Benchmark
Take two mixed sets before revising. Look for the domain that keeps costing you questions, not one isolated miss.
Start with Practice Test 1 →Drill the weak domain
Move to the matching domain-wise test. Review the BoK performance indicators behind anything you miss, then retest with another mixed set.
Open a domain test →Run the full clock
When the four domains feel familiar, switch to a 100-question test. A 165-minute attempt exposes pacing problems that 20 questions cannot.

AIGP v2.1 exam blueprint
IAPP publishes minimum and maximum question counts rather than percentage weights. Domains III and IV carry the largest ranges, but every domain has enough questions to matter.
| Domain | Official title | Questions on exam |
|---|---|---|
| Domain I | Understanding the foundations of AI governance | 16–20 |
| Domain II | Understanding how laws, standards and frameworks apply to AI | 19–23 |
| Domain III | Understanding how to govern AI development | 21–25 |
| Domain IV | Understanding how to govern AI deployment and use | 21–25 |
How our AIGP practice tests are written
Current objectives first. The question sets are aligned to AIGP Body of Knowledge v2.1, not the older 2025 outline. The taxonomy covers the four current domains and their 13 competencies.
Governance decisions, not AI trivia. The questions focus on how privacy, legal, product, risk, security and technical teams govern AI through design, release, deployment and ongoing use.
Scenario-led practice. Expect decisions about impact assessment, data use, vendor risk, model monitoring, human oversight and incident handling. That matches the apply/analyze emphasis IAPP describes for its exam questions.
Timed at current pace. Twenty questions get about 33 minutes. Full-length practice tests use 100 questions and 165 minutes.
IAPP AIGP exam preparation
Study strategy
Learn the verbs in the blueprint. “Understand,” “evaluate,” “perform,” “govern” and “apply” tell you what depth a question is likely to require.
Give Domains III and IV enough time. Each can contribute 21–25 questions. Development governance and deployment governance together make up the largest part of the published blueprint.
Connect the domains. A deployment decision can involve privacy law, vendor contracts, risk tolerance and monitoring at the same time. Study the handoffs, not four isolated chapters.
Test-taking strategy
Find the governance stage first. Is the scenario about policy, law, development, release, procurement, deployment or monitoring? That usually narrows the answer set quickly.
Respect multi-select wording. IAPP labels how many responses to select, and there is no partial credit if you do not choose the exact required set.
Keep the clock moving. The exam gives you about 1.65 minutes per question. Mark the slow item mentally, make the best defensible choice and protect time for the rest of the paper.
