CompTIA Network+ (N10-009) Practice Test
Use the free 20-question sets to find where your Network+ prep is leaking marks. Each one runs on a 20-minute clock and maps to the current five-domain N10-009 blueprint.
Mixed Network+ Practice Tests
Twenty questions across the full blueprint. These are for diagnosis: sit a mixed set, note the domain that keeps costing you marks, then drill that area before you take another mixed set.
Domain-wise Network+ Practice Tests
Once a mixed set exposes the gap, stay on that domain for a while. The weights below are CompTIA’s published N10-009 percentages.
Twenty questions finds the gap.
Ninety questions tests the clock.
The free sets are short enough to diagnose a weak area. The full-length tests are the rehearsal: 90 questions in 90 minutes, with the same five-domain distribution in every set.

How to use these tests without wasting them
Use three passes. Short sets first, targeted drilling second, full-length rehearsal last.
Benchmark
Sit two mixed sets cold. Don’t chase a perfect score yet. Look for the domain that repeats in your misses.
Start Practice Test 1 →Drill the gap
Move to the domain test that matches the weakness. Review the objective behind every miss, then repeat with another mixed set.
Start with Network Troubleshooting →Dress rehearsal
When the gaps stop moving around, sit 90 questions under the full 90-minute limit. That is where pacing problems finally show themselves.

N10-009 is the current Network+ exam. It launched on 20 June 2024 and tests five areas, with troubleshooting carrying the largest share.
Exam format
Exam code: N10-009.
Questions: Maximum of 90.
Time: 90 minutes.
Question types: Multiple-choice and performance-based.
Passing score: 720 on a 100–900 scale.
U.S. voucher price: $399, checked 28 September 2026.
Experience, retakes and renewal
Formal prerequisite: None.
Recommended experience: A+ level knowledge and 9–12 months of hands-on networking experience.
Retakes: No required wait between attempt one and two. From attempt three onward, wait at least 14 calendar days after the previous attempt.
Certification validity: Three years.
Continuing education: 30 CEUs during the three-year renewal cycle.
Network+ N10-009 domain weights
The blueprint is uneven on purpose. Troubleshooting plus Networking Concepts make up 47% of the exam, so those two domains deserve almost half of your attention before the final rehearsal.
| Domain | Topic | Weight | Full-length set |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1.0 | Networking Concepts | 23% | 21 questions |
| 2.0 | Network Implementation | 20% | 18 questions |
| 3.0 | Network Operations | 19% | 17 questions |
| 4.0 | Network Security | 14% | 13 questions |
| 5.0 | Network Troubleshooting | 24% | 21 questions |
How the practice questions are written
Current objectives only. Questions are written against the N10-009 blueprint and its five published domains. Older N10-008 weighting is not mixed into these sets.
Scenario first. Network+ is an applied exam. Expect troubleshooting symptoms, addressing decisions, routing and switching behaviour, wireless trade-offs, security controls and questions that ask what to do FIRST, NEXT or BEST.
No live exam content. The bank is original. It is built to test the objective, not reproduce questions from a CompTIA exam.
No PBQs in these web tests. Performance-based questions need hands-on interaction. Use a lab for that part of your prep and use these tests for selected-response reasoning and pacing.
Network+ prep that pays off
Build the network before memorising it
Subnet until the arithmetic stops slowing you down. Know what changes at Layer 2 versus Layer 3. Be able to explain why a trunk, a route, a DHCP relay or a DNS record fixes the symptom in front of you.
Spend extra time on Domains 5 and 1. They are 24% and 23% respectively, and they touch material that reappears elsewhere in the exam.
Troubleshoot in order
Network+ often gives you four technically possible actions and asks for the right next one. Follow the evidence. Identify the problem, test a theory, fix it, verify the result, then document.
Under the clock, mark the slow item and move. A subnetting question that eats four minutes costs more than one question.
Frequently asked Network+ questions
CompTIA lists a maximum of 90 questions and a 90-minute time limit. The live exam mixes multiple-choice questions with performance-based questions.
The passing score is 720 on CompTIA’s 100–900 scale. That is a scaled score, not a raw percentage, so 720 does not mean exactly 80% correct.
The U.S. list price for a Network+ exam voucher is $399. CompTIA’s certification prices increased on 1 June 2026.
Network Troubleshooting is the largest domain at 24%, followed by Networking Concepts at 23%. Together they account for 47% of the published N10-009 blueprint.
Yes. CompTIA requires no waiting period between the first and second attempt. Before a third or later attempt, you must wait at least 14 calendar days from the previous attempt.
Network+ is valid for three years. The continuing-education route requires 30 CEUs during that three-year cycle.
No. These web tests are selected-response practice. Use them for objective coverage, reasoning and pacing, then use a lab for hands-on PBQ practice.
Yes. The CompTIA Network+ N10-009 full-length practice tests run 90 questions in 90 minutes. Each set contains 80 single-answer questions and 10 choose-TWO questions, with the five domains distributed at 21 / 18 / 17 / 13 / 21 questions.
The free tests are short diagnostic sets. The full-length tests are built for the 90-minute rehearsal: 90 questions, the complete five-domain distribution, choose-TWO items and a modelled 100–900 practice score against the 720 target.
No. The questions are original and written against the published N10-009 objectives. Live exam content is not reproduced.
Know the weak domain first. Then test the full 90 minutes.
Keep using the free 20-question sets while you are fixing gaps. When you want the full rehearsal, there are 10 N10-009 full-length tests. The all-10 pack is $6.99₹299£5.49€6.49.
Exam details reviewed 28 September 2026 against the current N10-009 objectives, CompTIA retake rules and 2026 U.S. voucher pricing.
