Written to the current five-domain outline
Cisco publishes five domains for 100-160: Essential Security Principles, Basic Network Security Concepts, Endpoint Security Concepts, Vulnerability Assessment and Risk Management, and Incident Handling.
It does not publish percentage weights for those domains. These practice tests therefore use a fixed internal allocation instead: 8 / 10 / 12 / 8 / 8 questions. That gives all 23 published objectives two questions in every 46-question set.
The level stays where CCST belongs. Expect foundational threats, access control, network and endpoint controls, risk decisions, logs, escalation and basic incident handling. No advanced routing configuration or professional-level SOC work.
A fixed 50-minute form, built for repeatable comparison
Cisco's live question count varies. Your practice form does not. Keeping every set at 46 questions means the timing, topic coverage and difficulty mix stay comparable from one test to the next.
How it's built
- 46 questions in 50 minutes
- 40 single-answer questions
- 6 Select TWO questions
- 18 easy, 20 medium and 8 hard
- All 23 objectives appear twice
What the questions feel like
- Mostly short, realistic entry-level scenarios
- Foundational security judgment, not Cisco CLI memorisation
- Plausible distractors from the same decision family
- Network, endpoint, risk and incident-response situations
- No live exam content or copied questions
What each explanation does
- States why the correct answer fits
- Points to the deciding clue in the stem
- Identifies the tempting distractor
- Explains why that distractor fails
- Select TWO items explain both required choices
All five Cisco domains in every set
Cisco publishes the domains and objectives, not percentage weights. The counts below are the fixed distribution used by these practice tests.
| Domain | Published objectives | Questions per practice test |
|---|---|---|
| 1.0 Essential Security Principles | 4 | 8 |
| 2.0 Basic Network Security Concepts | 5 | 10 |
| 3.0 Endpoint Security Concepts | 6 | 12 |
| 4.0 Vulnerability Assessment and Risk Management | 4 | 8 |
| 5.0 Incident Handling | 4 | 8 |
| Total | 23 | 46 |
Each objective appears twice in the internal practice blueprint. These counts are not presented as Cisco exam percentages.
All 10 full-length practice tests
Each test contains 46 questions and uses the same fixed objective and difficulty blueprint.
