Written to the current N10-009 objectives
The paid bank is locked to the five current domains: Networking Concepts, Network Implementation, Network Operations, Network Security, and Network Troubleshooting. Each 90-question set uses the same distribution, so one set does not quietly become easier because it contains fewer troubleshooting questions.
The real exam also includes performance-based questions. These practice tests stay in the selected-response format: 80 single-answer questions and 10 Select TWO questions. Use a lab separately for hands-on configuration and PBQ work.
CompTIA lists 2027 as the estimated retirement year for N10-009. No exact retirement date is published in the current material.
Ninety questions makes pacing visible
A short quiz can tell you whether you remember a port number. A full-length test also shows what happens when subnetting, routing, wireless, security, and troubleshooting all arrive in the same 90-minute window.
How it's built
- 90 questions in every test
- 80 single-answer + 10 Select TWO
- Domain counts: 21 / 18 / 17 / 13 / 21
- Difficulty mix: 27 easy / 41 medium / 22 hard
- All 25 current objective areas represented
- No performance-based questions
Under the clock
- 90-minute limit, matching the exam's published time
- Roughly one minute per question on average
- Select TWO questions require both correct choices
- Troubleshooting is the heaviest domain at 24%
- Concepts and Troubleshooting make up 47% together
- Scenario-first questions force you to choose, not recite
What comes back
- A modelled 100–900 practice score with 720 as the target
- Correct-answer review after the test
- A written explanation attached to every banked question
- Wrong-answer reasoning designed to expose the tempting distractor
- A consistent structure across all ten tests
- No claim that selected-response practice reproduces interactive PBQs
A real question from the N10-009 bank
The useful part is not the letter. It is knowing why a network diagnostic tool that sounds reasonable still fails the exact task in the stem.
A technician suspects a problem on one copper run but does not know where the run terminates. Which TWO tools are MOST useful to identify the cable and then test the run?
- ADNS resolver
- BCable toner and probe
- CSNMP trap receiver
- DCable tester or certifier
Why B and D
A toner and probe help locate the physical cable. A cable tester or certifier then checks the wiring and signal characteristics of the run. Together they match both parts of the job in the stem.
Why C is the tempting one
An SNMP trap receiver is a legitimate network diagnostic tool, but it cannot locate or certify a passive copper cable. DNS is even further away from the physical problem.
Every set follows the same five-domain blueprint
Troubleshooting and Networking Concepts account for 47% of N10-009 together. The paid sets keep those heavier areas heavy instead of flattening everything into equal slices.
| Domain | Official weight | Questions in each 90-question test |
|---|---|---|
| 1.0 Networking Concepts | 23% | 21 |
| 2.0 Network Implementation | 20% | 18 |
| 3.0 Network Operations | 19% | 17 |
| 4.0 Network Security | 14% | 13 |
| 5.0 Network Troubleshooting | 24% | 21 |

About N10-009, and about these tests
The N10-009 exam
How many questions are on CompTIA Network+ N10-009?
CompTIA publishes a maximum of 90 questions and a 90-minute time limit. The live exam mixes multiple-choice questions with performance-based questions.
What score do I need to pass Network+?
720 on CompTIA's 100–900 scale. It is a scaled score, not a percentage, so 720 does not mean you need exactly 80% correct.
How much does the Network+ exam cost in 2026?
The U.S. CompTIA voucher price is $399, checked in September 2026. CompTIA raised the list price in June 2026.
What are the N10-009 domain weights?
Networking Concepts 23%, Network Implementation 20%, Network Operations 19%, Network Security 14%, and Network Troubleshooting 24%.
If I fail Network+, when can I retake it?
There is no required waiting period between the first and second attempt. From the third attempt onward, CompTIA requires a wait of at least 14 calendar days after the previous attempt.
How long is Network+ valid?
The certification is valid for three years. Network+ requires 30 CEUs for renewal through CompTIA's Continuing Education programme.
These practice tests
How is each full-length practice test structured?
Each test has 90 questions in 90 minutes: 80 single-answer questions and 10 Select TWO questions. The domain counts are fixed at 21 / 18 / 17 / 13 / 21 across the five N10-009 domains.
Do these tests include performance-based questions?
No. These are selected-response practice tests. They cover the N10-009 objectives through single-answer and Select TWO questions; use a lab separately for hands-on PBQ practice.
Are the ten tests different in difficulty?
No. Each set uses the same difficulty matrix: 27 easy, 41 medium, and 22 hard questions. That keeps score movement between sets useful instead of mixing progress with an easier paper.
Is this a subscription?
No. Each test or pack is a one-time purchase.
Which currency will I see?
India uses INR, the UK uses GBP, euro-zone countries use EUR, and other countries use USD. The site selects the currency automatically.
Ten practice tests. 900 questions.

A U.S. Network+ voucher is $399. Run the 90-minute format before exam day, not for the first time on exam day.
