Written to the current objectives
These ten sets use the AIGP Body of Knowledge v2.1 taxonomy that took effect on 2 February 2026. The bank is organized across all four official domains and all 13 topic areas used by the practice module.
The questions are original and governance-led. Most of the bank is scenario or application work: deciding what an organization should do about risk, data, procurement, legal obligations, model development, release, monitoring and incident handling.
The real exam is multiple choice and includes multi-select items. IAPP requires the exact number of responses on a multi-select question, with no partial credit. These practice tests include Select TWO questions so that decision pattern is part of the rehearsal rather than a surprise.
A full 100-question run, not a short quiz
AIGP gives you enough time to think, but 100 questions still make pacing matter. The point of a full-length test is to keep making sound governance decisions after the first hour stops feeling fresh.
How it's built
- 100 delivered questions in every set
- 92 single-answer and 8 Select TWO items
- 20 easy, 45 medium and 35 hard questions
- At least 65 scenario or application questions
- All four domains and 13 topic areas represented
Under the clock
- 165 minutes of active testing time
- About 1 minute 39 seconds per question on average
- BEST, MOST, FIRST and PRIMARY wording appears where judgment is the skill
- Multi-select items require both correct choices
- Case-style governance decisions appear throughout the set
What the questions teach
- Every question carries a 2–4 sentence explanation
- The explanation states why the key fits the scenario
- The strongest distractor is addressed directly
- Coverage stays inside AIGP BoK v2.1
- The bank avoids trivia that does not test a governance decision
A real question from the AIGP practice bank
This one tests third-party AI risk. Both correct answers matter, which is exactly why multi-select practice changes how you read the options.
A vendor provides an AI service but relies on another company for the foundation model and a third company for hosting. Which TWO issues should procurement assess MOST directly?
- AWhich upstream model and hosting providers are critical to the service operation and risk profile.
- BHow the primary vendor governs material subcontractor changes, outages, data handling, and notification to the customer.
- CWhether each subcontractor has the same corporate ownership structure as the primary vendor.
- DWhether the primary vendor user interface contains enough visible controls to manage the service without reviewing material upstream dependencies.
Why A and B
Third-party due diligence has to reach the dependencies that can change availability, data handling, model behavior and compliance exposure. That means knowing who the critical upstream providers are and how the primary vendor controls changes and incidents involving them.
Why D is the tempting one
A strong interface can make day-to-day use easier, but it does not tell procurement what sits behind the service. The governance risk in this scenario is the supply chain, so visible controls alone do not answer the question.
The four AIGP domains
IAPP publishes minimum and maximum question counts for each domain rather than fixed percentages. Domain III and Domain IV carry the largest ranges.
| Domain | Official exam range | What it covers |
|---|---|---|
| I. Understanding the foundations of AI governance | 16–20 questions | AI concepts, responsible-AI principles, roles, governance structure, policies and life-cycle oversight |
| II. Understanding how laws, standards and frameworks apply to AI | 19–23 questions | Privacy law, other applicable law, AI-specific law, NIST, OECD and core ISO AI standards |
| III. Understanding how to govern AI development | 21–25 questions | Design, impact assessment, data governance, training, testing, release, monitoring and maintenance |
| IV. Understanding how to govern AI deployment and use | 21–25 questions | Deployment decisions, vendor assessment, use controls, monitoring, incidents and downstream risk |
All 10 IAPP AIGP practice tests
Each test is a separate 100-question set. Start with one, or use the pack when you want enough fresh material to repeat the full-length routine several times.
About the AIGP exam, and about these tests
The AIGP exam
How many questions are on the IAPP AIGP exam?
The current AIGP exam has 100 multiple-choice questions. IAPP lists 2.75 hours of testing time, and the exam includes a 15-minute break.
What score do you need to pass AIGP?
300 on IAPP's 100–500 reporting scale. A score of 300 does not mean 60% correct; IAPP converts raw results to the common reporting scale.
What kinds of questions appear on AIGP?
All questions are multiple choice. Some are scenario-based, and multi-select questions tell you exactly how many responses to choose. IAPP awards no partial credit when a multi-select item requires more than one response.
What is the current AIGP Body of Knowledge?
Version 2.1, effective 2 February 2026. It has four domains: foundations of AI governance; laws, standards and frameworks; governing AI development; and governing AI deployment and use.
How much does the AIGP exam cost?
IAPP currently lists the exam at USD 649 for members and USD 799 for nonmembers.
How long does the AIGP certification stay active?
The certification term is two years. IAPP requires 20 continuing education credits for the term, along with the applicable certification maintenance requirement.
These practice tests
How closely do these practice tests follow the current AIGP scope?
Every set is built on AIGP Body of Knowledge v2.1 and covers all four domains. The question bank also spans all 13 topic areas used by the current module.
Do the practice tests include multi-select questions?
Yes. Each 100-question set contains 92 single-answer items and 8 Select TWO questions.
Are the questions mostly definitions?
No. Each set is built with at least 65 scenario or application questions. The focus is on governance decisions: what to assess, who owns the risk, which control fits, and what should happen next.
Do the questions include explanations?
Yes. Every question is written with a 2–4 sentence explanation that covers why the correct answer fits and why the strongest distractor does not.
How many questions do I get in the packs?
The five-test pack contains 500 questions. The complete ten-test pack contains 1,000 questions.
Ten tests. 1,000 questions.
